Ring Size
Because titanium rings are not easily resizable, it is important to get
an accurate measurement of your finger. There are a couple things to
consider when you measure your finger.
1)
Your finger will change size during the
day, so it's better if you measure it more than once
2)
Consider the width of the ring you want. A
wider ring will feel tighter than a narrower ring of the same size. When
you measure your finger, measure the whole area where the ring will be
located on your finger.
Before placing your order
please make sure of your correct finger size.
Our rings are comfort fit
on the inside of ring. This means there is a slight roundness to the
inside of the ring allowing the center part to fit closer to the finger
than the outer edges. A comfort fit ring will fit looser on the finger
because it is not flat on the inside but rather rounded. Therefore when
you are getting sized please use the narrow finger sizer, which is 3 mm
wide, (as opposed to the wider one of 6.5 mm.) This will provide a more
accurate finger size than the wider sizers.
Width, thickness, and
proportion
Width, thickness, and ring size play an important factor in how the ring
will look. If you are ordering a pair of rings and want them to look
alike, generally you want the bigger ring to be a little wider and a
little thicker that will keep the 2 rings looking proportional to each
other.
Width
After you've figured out what size you need, you'll need to figure out
how wide to go. 3-4mm is pretty narrow (around 1/8 inch) and will sit
right at the base of your finger. 5-6mm is a little wider but still not
too wide. 7mm (just over 1/4 inch) is starting to get to where it will
start covering more of your finger rather than just sitting at the base
of it. 8mm and up we consider a fairly wide ring. 10mm is just over 3/8
inch. 12mm is just under 1/2 inch and 13mm just over 1/2 inch.
Unless you specify the width you want we
will choose the best width for the style of ring you have chosen.
Thickness
We offer selectable thicknesses for most of our rings, from 0.075” to
0.100”. For most rings we recommend 0.080” – 0.90” thick, this is a good
average thickness that's not to thin but not too thick. If your ring is
a small ring (around size 4-7) or is very narrow (3-4mm wide) then we
recommend going with the 0.075” – 0.080” thick. If your ring is a larger
ring (size 13+), or a very wide ring, then you might want to go a little
thicker, 0.085” – 0.100”. Unless you specify the thickness you want, we
will choose the best thickness for the style of ring you have chosen.
Finishes
Our choice of
ring finishes are Polished, Brushed, or Stone. The Polished finish is a
bright polished with a bright reflective finish. In the Brushed finish
the ring is given a matt finish, which is less reflective and gives the
ring a more elegant look. The Stone finish is a much more textured
surface that resists scratching and marring. It is, like the Brushed
finish, less reflective, but beautiful finish. Hammered and knurled
style finished are listed separate from other ring finishes. Each
Hammered and Knurled rings are Hand-Crafted and will vary somewhat from
ring to ring.
